Guinness record holder dies while trying to cross river on zip wire

Thrill-seeker Sailendra Nath Roy, the West Bengal Police home guard, who held a Guinness world record for travelling the farthest distance on a zip wire attached to a bunch of his hair, died while trying to set another record.

On a kitchen floor in Tokyo, Japanese photographer Haruhiko Kawaguchi spends 10-20 seconds photographing couples that he meets in nightclubs. He arranges them like pieces of meat inside bags meant to store futons and blankets. He then seals their conjoined bodies inside the bag using a household vacuum that sucks out all of the air.

For this project, Flesh Love, he’s photographed over 80 couples. Kawaguchi says the men panic more often than the women. A few have struggled for air while in the bag and one man ended up pissing himself. The women just want to look good, he says.

Gillard Warns Of ʾDoomsdayʾ In Spoof Video
Julia Gillard sends a mock doomsday message to listeners of a radio station as the Mayan apocalypse approaches.
Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has predicted the end of the world in a spoof video for a radio station.
The 50 second address sees the Prime Minister confirming doomsayers are right, and the apocalypse will hit this month.
Looking serious and speaking directly into camera, she says: ʾʾMy dear remaining fellow Australians, the end of the world is coming.ʾʾ
In the tongue-in-cheek video she goes on to reference Korean pop music, the predicted crashing of computer systems at the turn of the millennium and also Australiaʾs recent controversial carbon tax legislation:
ʾʾIt wasnʾt Y2K, it wasnʾt even the carbon price. It turns out the Mayan calendar was true.ʾʾ

Ms Gillard says that while scientists canʾt confirm the news, she is confident that alternative radio station Triple Jʾs prediction is correct.
ʾʾWhether the final blow comes from flesh-eating zombies, demonic hell beasts or from the total triumph of K-Pop, if you know one thing about me, itʾs this: I will always fight for you to the very end,ʾʾ she says with a straight face, standing at a lectern and flanked by two Australian flags.
She ends the joke broadcast on a positive note, mentioning that the apocalypse means she can escape having to appear on a weekly Australian current affairs show: ʾʾ... at least this means I wonʾt have to do Q& A again.
ʾʾGood luck to you all,ʾʾ she quips.
According to the Mayan calendar the world will end on December 21 which represents the end of a cycle in the Mayan long count calendar that began in the year 3114 before Christ.
A doomsday industry has boomed in Hollywood around the notion that the calendarʾs end will bring the fiery end of human civilisation, with the blockbuster ʾʾ2012ʾʾ depicting Earth being swallowed by floods, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
The Mayan culture enjoyed a golden age between 250 AD and 900 AD in present-day Mexico and Central America, before its steady decline and the arrival of Spanish imperialists in the 16th century.
It has not been revealed how the radio station persuaded the Prime Minister to take part in the joke or whether she contributed to its writing.
Reaction has been mixed. Supporters of the joke like writer and broadcaster Paul Verhoeven took to Twitter to say the video was ʾʾastoundingly wonderfulʾʾ.
Others however, like Australian radio host Neil Mitchell, asked: ʾʾIs it demeaning to the office (of Prime Minister) to be doing something quite as silly as that, particularly when itʾs presented in quite a serious fashion?ʾʾ

MPSJ came and seized 18 dogs from rescuersʾ place. They came along with Emergency Response Team, and policemen with machine gun. Rescuers didnʾt let them in because they didnʾt show any warrant but they insisted to come in without warrant. They cut the gate with a machine saw, which forced a young lady to spray them with water. But they didnʾt stop. They grabbed the young ladyʾs hand and she had to bite their hand so they let go off her hand. Then, they cut the water supply from outside the gate.

After they finally succeed enter the compound, they kept threatening the young ladies and trying to go inside the house. The policeman told the young lady to open the door, or else, he will lock her up. Eventually, the 3 rescuers gave up and surrender the dogs to them. They made an agreement to let them put the dogs themselves inside the van so that the dogs wouldnʾt get traumatized...
